We were hosted for a morning of golf at the Reunion Resort Golf Course. All opinions are my own.
For those of you who love golf as much as I do and want a fun challenging course to play at while you travel to Orlando, Florida, I’ve found the best golf course in every aspect. When I began looking for a good course to play while staying in Orlando, I started by reading reviews from the local golfers and they all said that the Reunion Grande Resort Palmer/Watson Golf Course is by far the best course in all of Orlando. Some reviews even went as far as rating the course the best in Florida. That’s a pretty big deal in my book, so obviously I was extremely excited to play the course. I only had time to play 9 holes of golf during our vacation to Florida, so I chose to take my boy and play the front 9 of the Palmer course.
We couldn’t travel to Florida with our clubs, so I had to get some to use when I got to the club house. They had several different bags to choose from. They also had junior clubs which were perfect for my boy who is only 7 years old. Their staff was very friendly and patient in explaining the layout of the course and where to start. We had a 7:30 am tee time which was perfect especially for Florida since it gets extremely hot during the day. There were not too many people on the course, I never was pushed or felt rushed, and I never had to worry about pushing any other groups. That said, I didn’t waste any time looking for lost balls or taking mulligans. Since the course was a little more challenging than I’m used to playing, I played fairly safe not trying to drive the greens. I believe 7 of the nine holes I played had water hazards with hole 7 being more of a signature hole having to hit over a small pond/lake. If there was any cause for me taking to long on any particular hole, it was because I was busy enjoying the beauty of the course. Perfectly maintained with beautiful greens and several hazards from multiple changes in elevation to water and sand traps. The course is fairly open and I would rate it eligible for all golfers who consider themselves to be average but want a challenge.
I am by no means a pro golfer, and I was able to play a decent round of golf. As you can see from the pictures, my boy had a lot of fun also. It is hard to describe how well designed the course is and how beautiful the course is, so I will let the pictures that I took speak for themselves.
For all the stats of the course and to schedule your tee times visit https://www.reunionresort.com/golf/overview, and don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what your favorite hole/holes were and why. Mine was definitely hole 7, but I love the challenge of hitting over water. That and the bridge which takes you over the middle of the lake is unique and beautiful in and of itself.
When you do go golf this fabulous course, I hope you take your time to truly enjoy the landscape, nature, and challenge this course has to offer.
