School starting is just around the corner. I can’t believe how fast this summer has flown by. We have had so much fun together as a family, traveling, hiking, and spending time together, that I almost don’t want it to end. My kids are growing up way too fast. All four of them will be in school this year. I can’t believe that my baby will be going to Kindergarten and my oldest will b in Junior High! It is going to be a lot of fun and a lot of crazy adventures. In the meantime, my wife and I are getting ready for back to school by stocking up on all of the necessities at Walmart. We always add a few extra things on our back to school shopping list like Kleenex® Trusted Care* 3 Bundle Pack and 4 Bundle Pack, Scott® Tissue 20 Roll Pack, and Viva® Vantage® 6 Big Rolls. These items help make our homes lives so much easier when the kids go back to school. It is also great to have these items on hand so that we can contribute to the classrooms when the teachers ask for items to use.
Box Tops are a great way for us to give back to our schools without having to do anything more than clip the Box Top from the packaging of the products we buy and send them to school with our kids. The school gets to redeem each Box Top for $0.10, which adds up quickly giving the school the potential to earn several hundred or even thousands of dollars over the course of the school year. We have always made it a priority to donate as many Box Tops as we can. It becomes somewhat of a competition between my kids to determine who gets to take the Box Tops to school and give them to their teacher. Be sure to look for Box Tops when you are doing your shopping and have your kids take them to school and turn them in. It is a great program. While we are shopping, my kids love to look for items with Box Tops on them, and I was excited to see that many of the items we got had bonus Box Tops! They were also excited about the fun packaging that we found on many of the boxes, including some of their favorite heroes!
To give you a head start on your back to school list of things to do, we are sharing a fun DIY Back to School Teacher Gift Box that your kids can give their teachers, filled with back to school supplies, and then can double as a Box Tops collector for the teacher’s desk! It is easy to make and fun to put together. Your kids will really enjoy helping with this and you can upcycle a Kleenex® tissue box for the gift box and a toilet paper roll for the pencil holder! Check out our tutorial below to see how easy it is to put together, and make one with your kids for their back to school teacher gifts!
First, you will want to take an empty Kleenex® tissue box and remove the plastic lining the opening. Once this is done, you will take an empty Scott® Tissue toilet paper roll and decorate it with paper to match the box. Now that is done, you will take the toilet paper roll and glue it to one of the sides of the opening of the box. This will be used to store pencils, markers, etc for the teacher. Once the glue has dried, you can start adding in your fun gifts for the teacher. We included things like a planner, a notebook, paper clips, highlighters, pencils, pens, and more! We also added a fun box to keep the Box Tops in. You may choose to cut the opening a little bigger on the box, depending on what you are putting inside.
Next time you are at the store, be sure to pick up Kleenex® Trusted Care*, Scott® Tissue, and Viva® Vantage® paper towels and check for the packages with the double Box Tops. Learn more about Box Tops and the products you can get at Walmart that will give you double box tops, so you can give back double to your school!

Rather than a Back to School gift, we got a gift for the end of year. Kids in the UK finish for summer vacation near the end of July and go back for the new school year at the begin of September. We got a Gold pen with the teachers name on it. He had never had something like it before.
For the next school year, our daughter gets a teach she has before. Maybe we need to think about something similar.
Thanks for Sharing

Super cute to put the gifts in a Kleenex box. I think that the brands you chose are the best on the market and any teacher would appreciate them for their classroom.

What a lovely idea! I find that it is very creative when you combine a Kleenex® tissue box with a Scott® Tissue toilet paper roll to make this. The children will be so in love doing this with many creative decoration outside the box before giving it to their techers. I believe this will be a very meaningful gift box for teachers when they are back to school.
