The return of good weather means that I am outdoors a lot more working in my yard, playing with my kids and building things for my wife. She loves flowers, so I wanted to build her a Wood Flower Vase Holder to keep on her table and display flowers she picks from her beautiful garden all summer long. This Wood Flower Vase Holder is easy to make and looks amazing with any decor. I am going to share the step by step process with you of how to make it. You can pick up the wood at any home improvement store. We got a 1″ x 4″ x 96″ board to use for this project. You will also need to have a Miter Saw (or box), 1 1/4 inch spade bit or hole saw bit, a 3/32″ drill bit (for pre-drilling the screw holes), 1 5/8″ screws. Keep your drill handy as well as a tape measure, pencil, and sandpaper. I also grabbed a case of Nestlé® Pure Life® water from Walmart because the bottles are perfect to use for this and we love the water!
First, take the 1″ x 4″ x 96″ and cut it into pieces. You will need to cut two boards to 14″ boards and two boards to 7 1/4″.
When you have the four boards cut, you will want to take sandpaper and smooth the edges.
When you are ready, take four of the Nestle bottles and line them up on the wood and trace around them. Then you can mark the center of these circles and that will be where you will drill your 1 1/4″ holes for the tops of the bottles to go through.
Once you have the centers of the holes, use the 1 1/4 inch spade bit or hole saw bit and drill holes in the center of each of the circles you drew.
Use a Dremel or sandpaper to smooth the edges of the holes.
Once all of the boards are ready, use the 3/32″ drill bit to pre-drill the holes so the boards don’t split when you screw in the screws. You are screwing them together in a rectangle shape with the openings on the top for the water bottles to “peek” through.
Now you have it put together, you will add the water bottles.
You can paint it, stain it, or leave it “raw” depending on your decor or style. My wife loves the wood look, so we may stain it at some point, but she loves how it turned out. It is simple but elegant and it looks great on our table!
I get Nestlé® Pure Life because my family loves the taste of the water. The 12-step quality process ensures that we are getting the best tasting water and it is also enhanced with a unique blend of minerals. As shoppers, we are receiving a great value by getting 3 more bottles for the same price as the 32 pack! You can find Nestle products at Walmart online, but make sure to visit the store for the 35 pk! If this version of Nestle Pure Life is not available in your local Walmart, please ask a store manager about getting the product in your area. Be on the lookout for a refreshed packaging from Nestle this upcoming May at a store near you!
Pick up a pack of Nestlé® Pure Life for your family and use some of the bottles to make one of these. They make great gifts, especially with Mother’s Day coming up!

What a great way to recycle the bottles. My son’s class is saving their water bottles to make bird feeders.

Such a neat DIY idea! I’m sure the holder could be used for multiple things too! My kitten would probably eat them (flowers)…maybe fake ones for me and decorating some bottles? Hehe

This is such a lovely DIY that’s great for year round—although an especially great idea for Mother’s Day, I think! Although I think even prettier if swapping out the water bottles for some nice mason jars.

Great way to upcycle those water bottles. If I were to make this craft, I would maybe paint the bottles or attach some decorative covering. Thanks for sharing your craft idea.

I think it’s an awesome idea and it’s not that difficult to make either. Sure it’s going to take a little time but it’s not impossible. I wonder if I can use the same idea for herbs.

How incredibly unique is that. This would be a fun DIY to do with my older girls … maybe after they get me some flowers for Mother’s Day lol.

This is so effective and I love that it doesn’t use too many different materials xxx
